A creatively driven Producer and Executive Producer with over 16 years' experience leading creative and production teams across world-class brands, advertising agencies, production companies, and independent film. Delivering high-end content across commercials, branded entertainment, stills, social, integrated 360° campaigns, and feature films, from creative development through production, post-production, and global delivery.

Alongside his advertising work, James has recently co-produced a £1.2m independent feature film with a forthcoming UK theatrical release, international distribution, and streaming on Netflix. He is currently developing a slate of feature film and episodic projects.

Commercially minded, agile, and solutions-focused, with deep expertise in creative development, budgeting, scheduling, financing, casting, art buying, post-production, and emerging technologies, including AI tools and virtual production. BACKGROUND: Graduating with a First-Class BA (Hons) in Film and Television, James built experience across directing, writing, cinematography, photography, alongside sales, marketing,and publicity for major Hollywood studio releases, including Twilight (2008). This broad creative and commercial foundation led to the launch of SPUN FILMS in 2009.

Producing all content for the multi-award-winning digital fashion publication POSTmatter, SPUN was praised by The New York Times as "heralding in a new era in digital publishing" and later evolved into an interactive exhibition in Milan. During this period, SPUN attracted leading global clients including Nike, Dior, and Gucci.

In 2014, SPUN merged with MERI Media to form MATTER Productions, where James served as Head of Production, leading creative and production teams and overseeing the delivery of award-winning work for international brands. Since becoming an independent producer in 2017, he has worked with a diverse range of brands, agencies, and production companies while expanding into feature film and episodic development.

Based in Primrose Hill, North West London, James draws inspiration from film, music, literature, and contemporary art. When he's not producing, you'll often find him walking his dog, Presley, through London's parks, discovering new exhibitions, or catching a film at the Everyman Hampstead.
