BACKGROUND: After studying a BA in Film and Television, working as a DOP, Photographer, Writer, Director & in Marketing & Publicity for Hollywood films including TWILIGHT (2008), James founded creative production company SPUN FILMS in 2009, where he produced video and interactive content for the multi award winning app based fashion publication POST MATTER, which the New York Times praised for ‘Heralding in a new era in digital publishing’ and consequently accrued NIKE, DIOR and GUCCI as principal clients.

Spun merged with digital agency MERI MEDIA in 2014 to form MATTER Productions where James worked as Head of Production until early 2017 when he became freelance in order to broaden his horizons.

James is based in Primrose Hill (N.W. London), where he lives and breathes film, music, literature and art. In his spare time James enjoys catching a film at the Everyman Hampstead, walking on Primrose Hill, Hampstead Heath or in Regents Park and frequenting one of London's many fantastic museums, galleries, restaurants or music venues.
